Role Description

We’re looking for a detail-driven, design-minded collaborator to join our studio part-time. Someone who knows how to take a brand and translate it into a digital space that feels alive—thoughtful layouts, intuitive flow, and a little bit of soul.

This is a contractor role for an experienced website designer who works independently, communicates clearly, and can bring projects across the finish line with polish and precision. You’ll work with us on a range of client projects, mostly in WordPress, Shopify, and Squarespace.

What You'll Be Doing

Designing custom websites with an emphasis on clarity, flow, and strong visual hierarchy
Translating copy and brand strategy into layouts that feel natural and compelling
Working in WordPress, Shopify, and Squarespace (depending on the project)
Making thoughtful layout, font, and image choices in alignment with client brands
Communicating progress and next steps clearly via ClickUp or email
Collaborating with our lead designer and developer when needed
Troubleshooting design-related issues and providing solutions with minimal hand-holding

Qualifications

Have 3+ years experience designing sites end-to-end (bonus if you have an eye for SEO or conversions)
Have strong design instincts and a sharp eye for clean layout and spacing
Understand what makes a site not just look good—but feel intuitive to use
Are confident in your own process and enjoy working independently
Can meet flexible, self-managed deadlines and communicate proactively
Appreciate intentional design, calm project pacing, and meaningful client work

Part-Time, Contract-Based

(5–15 hours/week depending on projects)
